This
year, our Near Native Chinese classes will use Dudu online leveled reading
system as a supplementary reading resource in school and at home. Dudu is
Singapore’s first self-paced and personalized Chinese learning system that
recommends eBooks according to each student’s reading ability. It was
developed by CommonTown and is aimed to help students improve their Chinese
language through reading.
This
week, students already took the placement test in class. You may go to their
website: go.dudu.town and read books with your
child at home. (Please read books one by one, encourage your child to read the
story out loud, learn new words from reading and finish the questions after
reading.) Students should already know their user ID and password. (They are
the same.) Their reading level is shown on the top right corner of the screen.
Please DO NOT change the password. Click this link, you can read the introduction about

Dudu is
also working on releasing new books in their library. Please note that the
suggested reading level from the placement test is ONLY a
reference. We will not use it as an evaluation to your child.

今年我们NN班级会使用DuDu 分级阅读系统，作为学生课外拓展阅读的补充资源。（感谢学校对孩子们中文学习的大力支持）DuDu 是新加坡第一套个性化中文分级阅读系统，系统能根据每个学生不同的阅读能力来推荐不同的电子书籍，旨在通过阅读帮助学生提高中文水平。
这个星期，我们已经在学校使用Dudu系统测试了学生的阅读水平。您可以登录网站：go.dudu.town 输入您孩子的登录名和密码，（登录名和密码是一样的）看到他／她的阅读级别和推荐的书籍。您的孩子已经知道自己的登录名。请不要改动登录密码。阅读时，建议你和你的孩子一本一本慢慢读，鼓励孩子大声朗读，利用他们的字典功能学习新的词汇，并认真完成故事后面的问题。点击以下链接是关于Dudu分级阅读系统的使用简介。
另外，Dudu系统所测出的阅读级别，仅供参考，不作为学校考试成绩和评估标准。
